The Emsella Chair is a non-invasive medical device tailored for both men's health and women's health, designed to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles and address conditions like urinary incontinence, pelvic floor weakness, and sexual dysfunction. Utilizing advanced electromagnetic technology, it stimulates deep muscle contractions that go beyond what voluntary exercises can achieve.
How the Emsella Chair Works
1. High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) Technology
- The Emsella chair emits focused electromagnetic energy that penetrates the pelvic floor region.
- This energy induces supramaximal contractions (strong, involuntary contractions) of the pelvic floor muscles.
- Just one session can deliver the equivalent of over 11,200 Kegel exercises in a mere 28 minutes.
2. Pelvic Floor Muscle Stimulation
- These contractions help in strengthening and re-educating the pelvic floor muscles.
- Improved muscle tone provides better support for the bladder, uterus, and rectum, mitigating leakage and enhancing control.
- The stimulation also boosts blood flow and neuromuscular function in the pelvic region.
3. Treatment Experience
- Patients simply sit on the chair while remaining fully clothed.
- The treatment is painless, with sensations ranging from tingling to muscle contractions.
- There’s no downtime needed, allowing patients to return to their normal activities immediately.
Benefits of the Emsella Chair
- Urinary Incontinence Relief: Effectively reduces stress, urge, and mixed incontinence.
- Pelvic Floor Strengthening: Enhances support for pelvic organs and improves overall pelvic floor treatment.
- Sexual Health: Can boost sexual satisfaction by improving muscle tone and enhancing blood flow.
- Non-Invasive & Comfortable: No surgery, no needles, and no recovery time required.
Treatment Protocol
- A standard treatment regimen consists of 6 sessions, scheduled twice per week over a span of 3 weeks.
- Many patients notice results after their first session, with further improvements occurring throughout the treatment course.
- Maintenance sessions might be suggested based on individual health needs.

Results can last 6–12 months, depending on lifestyle, age, and the severity of pelvic floor weakness. Maintenance sessions every few months are often recommended to sustain long-term benefits.
Emsella provides much stronger, deeper contractions than voluntary Kegel exercises—up to thousands in a single session. While it doesn’t replace the benefits of maintaining an active pelvic floor routine, it significantly accelerates muscle strengthening and is ideal for those who struggle to do Kegels correctly.
Some patients report improvement after just one session, such as reduced leakage or better bladder control. The most noticeable results typically appear after completing the full 6-session course, with continued improvement for several weeks afterward.
