ACNE Treatment - IPL

The Venus Versa™ IPL Acne Dual (ACDual) is a specialised Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment designed specifically for active acne management. Unlike standard IPL for hair removal or skin rejuvenation, the ACDual applicator uses a dual-light system to target both the bacteria that cause acne and the inflammation associated with breakouts.  

How Venus Versa IPL ACDual Works  

The ACDual applicator combines two different wavelengths of IPL light to address acne at its root causes:  

- Blue Light (≈ 415 nm)  

Targets and destroys Propionibacterium acnes (now called Cutibacterium acnes), the bacteria responsible for acne breakouts. The light activates porphyrins produced by the bacteria, leading to bacterial cell death.  

- Red Light (≈ 630 nm)  

Penetrates deeper into the skin to reduce inflammation, calm redness, and promote healing. It also helps regulate sebaceous gland activity, reducing excess oil production.  

- Cooling System  

The applicator has a built-in cooling mechanism that protects the skin’s surface, making the treatment comfortable and safe.
