We recommend a post-treatment appointment to assess the results after 2 weeks.

The treatment usually takes effect after 3–5 days, however, full efficacy is seen in 2 weeks.

The effect lasts between 3 to 6 months (avg 4 months).

PDO stands for Polydioxanone. Here we place each thread beneath the skin to stimulate the production of collagen, which in turn, tightens and strengthens the integrity of the skin. 

Each tbread is a synthetic surgical suture that dissolves over a period of time. They are non-barbed and are inserted into a cross hatched pattern to hyper stimulate the production of collagen. Once the threads dissolve over several months, a matrix mesh of collagen and elastin is left behind which results in strengthening and tightens the skin. The effects of collagen production and skin tightness continues to be present for about 12-15 months. 

Common areas for treatment are; neck, cheeks, upper eyelids, under eyes, nasolabial folds, smokers lines, marionette lines, and décolletage.

What is a Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is a powerful skin exfoliating solution that applied to the face, neck or hands to reveal the smooth and clear skin.

What makes this technique so popular is that it is useful for a variety of skin conditions and concerns.

Are all Chemical Peels the same?

No, there are different peels to target various concerns. Peels are generally classified by their ingredients. Each skin condition/type may respond differently to the ingredients in the peel. Therefore, it is essential to have an in-depth thorough consultation prior to your treatment. An example, wrinkles, pigmentation, and superficial blemishes respond very well to a stronger peel. Whereas, acne responds best to salicylic acid peels.

All peels can provide skin rejuvenating benefits, but your skin’s type and condition dictates which treatment is best to meet your results.

How does a Chemical Peel work?

The process varies depending on the indicated peel used. Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed in a two-set process, this will follow with a peel preparation to remove any further surface oils and dead skin cell build up in preparation for your treatment to maximize your results. A soothing balm is applied to various areas of your face to minimize discomfort prior, to the application of the peel. The application is either a 1 or 2 step approach, depending on the chosen peel. At this point, the peel will be working its magic to exfoliate your skin. This is followed with the application of pH neutraliser the neutraliser acts by preventing and further activity of the peel. Once completed, you will finish your treatment either with a hydration marks or a variety of non-active A serums.

Will, I only need 1 treatment?

For optimal results, it is recommended to have a course of treatments to gain your desired results. This will be discussed at your consultation.
